Hi, I’m Vijay.

I lead engineering for Personal Loans at InCred in Bengaluru. That’s about 30 engineers across backend, web and mobile, and a lending business north of ₹8,000 Cr.

I joined in 2018 as one of the early engineers. I’ve built the stuff, led the teams that build it, and now look after the whole thing, from the first app screen to the money landing in someone’s account.

These days I think a lot about how teams can own their piece of the problem without stepping on each other, how to keep something people depend on for money up and running, and how AI tools like Claude Code change the way we build software.

Before InCred I wrote code at HARMAN (car infotainment), Portea (healthcare apps) and a small ERP startup I helped start in 2012. So it’s been about 14 years of building software so far.
